Join us for a season of great fun and team play!  

 

Season Status: all Squirts Players will be placed on teams this week and notified by their respective Coach not later than 7:00 pm 6 Dec 09 for their practice date that will start the week of 7 to 11 Dec.  In addition regular season games will start on 9 Jan 09.  For further information contact Basketball Commissioner Kenneth L. Mitchell or Chandra Evans-Mitchell at 703-915-9052/301-805-6763.  This delay is due to late squirts registrations.

 

Registration at the Bowie City Gym on 2 and 4 Dec 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and 6 Dec, 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

The Leagues will consist of

  1. County Basketball (competitive) 7/8 Competitive through 9U to 18U (Boys & Girls)  (All county teams will have evaluations for skill level & team placement)
  2. Squirts League 5 to 8 years old coed
  3. High School Intramural League 14 to 18 years old
  4. Intramural League 9 to 13 years old (boys and girls if enough girls or coed if not enough girls).

Season is now underway.   Come join us for a season of great fun and team play. Practice begins late Nov and the games in early Jan 2010

REGISTRATION: AT THE BOWIE CITY GYM, 7:00 to 9:00 pm  on weekdays (Wed & Fri) and 4:30 to 6:30 (Sun).  Dates for OCT 2,4,7,9,11,14,16, 18,21,23,25
28,30 in NOV 1,6,8,13,15,18,20 and DEC 4,6,9,11,13,16,20 . THE CUTOFF DATE FOR COUNTY IS Nov 20 unless the rosters are not full (no more than 12 per team). will tentatrively begin in October, 2009. See the SBBGC online calendar on the sbbgc home page..

County Basketball Evaluations

Evaluations are scheduled at the Bowie Gym in November. See the SBBGC calendar on home page for schedule.

Evaluations should consist of offensive and defensive drills completed with game time scrimmages.

If additional evaluation time is needed, you must talk to Coach Mitchell immediately following your last schedule evaluation.

Squirts Basketball

Squirts will start practice on TBD.

County Girls Basketball

All County Girls will start practice on TBD.

Intramural Basketball

The next intramural practice session will take place Thursday (December 17, 2009, 6:30 PM, at Pointer Ridge Elementary School, and the official 10 Game Intramural Season will begin January 16, 2009. Contact the intramural basketball coordinator Harvey Gates.
